In the network marketing industry, you can have the best product in the world, along with the best compensation plan, if you don’t have a system to market your product efficiently, you will never make a dime. And that’s actually why 95% of network marketers make no more than $10 a week.

Now there are many different systems out there and everyone of them claims to be the best. So how do you choose and what are the criteria you should look for in a good MLM lead generation and marketing system?

First, it is important to understand that there are 3 basic principles behind a MLM lead and marketing system that top earners follow to build their businesses online. And the right system for your MLM business must enable you to apply these 3 principles:

1. Build your own list of targeted prospects: marketing a replicated website will never work out for you because you would not be branding yourself and you would be building someone else’s list. The lead generation system that you use must allow you to generate your own leads through proper marketing strategies.

2. Build a relationship with that list: you do business with people and people will only buy from you if they like you and trust you. That’s why it is essential to build a relationship with your list. This is usually possible if the system you use has integrated autoresponder series. This way you can give your list access to free marketing training, tips, so that you provide people value and have them like and trust you.

3. Monetize your list: the system should enable you to make money through different good affiliate programs, so that you can start making money off the 95% of networkers who will say no to your MLM business by giving them what they want…the principle behind this is that your long-term money is in your list.

So when you do your research and are evaluating different systems, you should ask yourself those 4 questions and the answer to each one of them should be positive:

- Is this system CUSTOMIZABLE? You must be able to design your own personalized capture pages, this without having any particular technical skills. The customization enables you to brand yourself as the leader people want to follow and generate your own leads.

- Is this system AUTOMATED? The system should feature built-in sales pages, email autoresponder series, as well as tracking and split testing technology. The automation will save you valuable time.

- Is the system EASY TO USE? You should have access to a comprehensive library of video and audio tutorials to set up the system, as well as technical support for your system. This way, you don’t have to take care of technical issues.

- Does the system include a hands-on MARKETING TRAINING? Make sure the system you choose features a complete marketing training center, with weekly live and recorded training sessions and webinars. What I’m going to share with you here are a few key points you should look for when you are choosing your network marketing business. These are very important factors of success in this industry.

• First of all, you must find a business where you can have a mentor, a coach who is going to be there for you, someone you feel you can trust. This has to be someone who is willing to listen to your needs and actually cares about your success, someone who will answer your questions and help you be successful. This person must also have a financial interest in your success. Make sure he/she gets paid every time you do!
  

• Make sure the team you are working with has a powerful marketing system in place that anyone can duplicate. A strong system that anyone can plug into and get results with. If you have to figure out your own lead generation or if the company relies on recruiting family or friends, purchased leads or newspaper advertising, just run away. If you don’t have a reliable way of getting quality prospects in front of what you are offering you cannot be successful on a long term basis.
  

• Find a company where you don’t have to do any personal selling or explaining. Make sure there is a team of people in place to do this for you. You should have an entire team of people to support you.
  

• Make sure that the products being sold are legitimate stand alone products. These must be products that would sell independently from the business opportunity. Most network marketing and direct sales companies are built around the compensation plan and not a stand alone product. If what you are marketing is not a stand alone product, you will have a hard time building residual income and a stable business as most people will not be able to duplicate what you are doing and people will leave your team faster than they joined.
  

• Make sure that the company has a long term vision and is going to be financially stable as long as you are going to be marketing for it. Also make sure the company is not hiding offshore somewhere to keep out of reach of the attorney general. This is a key sign of a company’s true colors.

If you can find a legitimate company, with stand alone products, a strong marketing system, good sales support, and a personal mentor, you will dramatically increase your chances of success in the network marketing industry.
