4 Free Internet Marketing Tools I love

1. Google’s Wonder Wheel

Google’s Wonder Wheel represents the way Google’s search engine perceives the relationships between
keywords.  It also shows visually how Google’s bot initially chooses sites for ads in the Content Network.

To use it: Go to www.google.com, do a search, then click on “Show Options.” Go down a few inches on the left side and there is a link called “Wonder Wheel.”

2. Google’s keyword-based search tool

For those who are doing PPC marketing with Google Adwords, this tool allows you to sift and sort keywords according to all kinds of advanced criteria like bid price or level of competition.

The Search-based Keyword Tool generates keyword ideas based on your website, and identifies those currently not being used in your AdWords account. Additionally, it provides more detailed data for each keyword, such as category information, suggested bid that may place the ad in the top three spots of a search results page, and ad/search share.

Have a look at the Sktool.

3. AddedBytes

One of the secrets of copywriting is making it VERY easy to read. A quick rule: 7th grade reading level or lower equals good copy, and College level equals bad copy.

Paste your text into AddedBytes and you’ll see if your copy is good or not.

4. Visual Thesaurus

I use Thesaurus to find the exact words I’m looking for, but there is a much better tool: Visual Thesaurus. It is a graphical tool that’s pretty much like Google’s Wonder Wheel. You can find strings of words and relationships between words. There is a free version and a dirt cheap paid version at $20 per year.
